Whenever you send your curriculum vitae to someone, make sure you include a covering. This procedure helps in persuading the recipient to know that it will be worthwhile interviewing you and should include the following data:
- A brief, general outline of work and educational experience (never go into details), with a sentence or two explaining why this makes you suitable for the position.
- Why you are eager to work at this company.
- Whether you are seeking a full-time or part-time position, as well as some idea of the salary- scale you are expecting.
- When you can come in for an interview.
- Ensure that your covering letter is grammatically correct, the language tone is courteous and positive, and that it is addressed to the appropriate person.
